Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2026 • Effective Immediately
Zero Server Uploads
Your photos, texts, passwords, and documents are computed inside your browser RAM only.
No Tracking Cookies
We do not set tracking cookies, behavioral ad pixels, or digital fingerprinting mechanisms.
No Remote Storage
We maintain no remote database of user inputs. Closing the browser tab destroys all memory.
1. Core Architectural Commitment
At Utoolset, privacy is not an afterthought or marketing disclaimer—it is the foundational technical architecture of our software. Every single tool available on this site (including OCR Image to Text, QR Code Generator, JSON Formatter, Word Counter, and Calculators) operates exclusively on client-side technology.
When you interact with any tool, JavaScript running within your local browser engine processes your files, images, numbers, and text. No data is ever transmitted, streamed, or uploaded to an external server or cloud database.
2. Personal Information We Do NOT Collect
Because Utoolset does not require accounts, sign-ups, or credit cards, we do not collect or store:
- Your name, email address, physical address, or phone number.
- Images, scans, or text documents processed in the OCR utility.
- QR code URLs, contact vCards, Wi-Fi credentials, or plain text messages.
- Financial calculations, discounts, unit values, or sensitive JSON structures.
- IP logs, browsing history, or behavioral interaction records.
3. Local Storage Usage
Utoolset utilizes your browser’s standard localStorage API solely to store your cosmetic theme preference (theme = 'dark' | 'light'). This data resides entirely on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
4. Third-Party Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)
Our web pages load static visual libraries (such as Google Fonts, Tailwind CSS, Lucide icons, and the open-source QR engine) via trusted global Content Delivery Networks. These CDNs serve cached asset files to speed up page delivery. We do not integrate third-party ad networks, telemetry SDKs, or social media trackers.
5. Security & Isolation
By isolating data processing entirely within the browser's sandbox, your data is inherently protected from transmission interception (Man-in-the-Middle attacks) and centralized data breaches. You can even run Utoolset offline once the page and WebAssembly assets are cached in your browser.
6. Contact Us About Privacy
If you have questions regarding our client-side architecture, code auditability, or privacy policies, please reach out via our Contact Page or email us directly at support@utoolset.dev.
